The Silver Surfer's 100% ceramic heating element is the first of its kind. The cool air enters the glass heater cover through the hole in the middle. The air then passes by the ceramic heating element and out through the opening at the top of the glass heater cover. The glass becomes very hot also becoming a part of the heating process. The super high quality ceramic heater allows the SSV to heat up faster and last much longer than any conventional metal heating element.
